Instructor Robert "Bob" Gaugler
Captain (retired) Robert “Bob” Gaugler is a highly decorated police officer who has over 28 years of law enforcement experience.  He enlisted as a “Trooper” in 1986, and rose through the ranks of the New Jersey State Police, retiring as the Regional Commander of the Narcotics & Organized Crime Bureaus.  As a veteran in law enforcement, Captain Gaugler possesses extensive executive leadership and supervisory experience in conducting large scale criminal investigations.  He provides expertise in criminal interdiction, undercover narcotics, violent gang crime suppression, intelligence development, confidential informant cultivation, homeland security enhancement measures, community policing, and numerous innovative law enforcement practices and procedures.  Over the course of his career, he has held assignments in several high profile investigative units, including Traditional & Non Traditional Organized Crime, Drug & Weapons Trafficking, Violent Street Gangs, Cargo Theft & Robbery, Official Corruption and Office of Professional Standards.  During his tenure,  he developed several investigative interdiction initiatives to successfully combat various types of drug trafficking networks and organized crime syndicates.   Captain Gaugler has extensive experience and a vast knowledge of transnational criminal organizations, violent groups and drug smuggling networks.  He is a Court recognized and certified expert in the field of organized criminal groups and drug trafficking techniques.  Additionally, he has created various strategies to investigate and combat global crime and terrorist activities, enhanced intelligence efforts and provided innovative homeland security efforts. He has provided training and instruction on topics related to transnational criminal activity, traditional and non-traditional organized criminal groups/gangs, smuggling trends & techniques, and Intelligence-Led Policing to various law enforcement forums and academies.  He has instructed at the International Law Enforcement Academy for the U.S. State Department - Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs, on the topics of Transnational Organized Crime, Terrorism and Anti-Corruption.   Captain Gaugler possesses a proven history of successful partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, jurisdictions, and personnel throughout the United States and abroad. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Executive Leadership School (Session 249), and holds a Masters Degree in Professional Education as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from Seton Hall University.

Instructor Glenn "Luber" Lubertazzi
      Lieutenant (retired) Glenn "Luber" Lubertazzi is a highly decorated 25 year veteran of the New Jersey State Police.  He enlisted as a "Trooper" in 1987, and was assigned to the New Jersey State Police Field Operations Section in northern New Jersey to conduct highway patrol related duties. While assigned to highway patrol, he developed an innate ability for highway criminal interdiction and making felony arrests.  His criminal interdiction investigations were instrumental in making several of the largest drug and currency seizures within the State of New Jersey.  His ability to identify and apprehend individuals involved in the transportation of narcotics, weapons and illicit contraband remains unparalleled within the New Jersey State Police to this date.  Lieutenant Lubertazzi has held many distinctive Unit assignments during his career, including  narcotics and weapons trafficking, organized crime, official corruption and crime suppression.  Due to Lieutenant Lubertazzi's knowledge and operational skills, he was placed in various leadership assignments including Commander of the Bergen County Task Force Hotel Interdiction Unit.  He also served as the New York/New Jersey HIDTA Task Force Deputy Commander, where he was responsible for the supervision of various large scale criminal investigations involving the Mexican and Colombian Cartels.  Prior to his retirement from the NJSP, Lieutenant  Lubertazzi was the Assistant Bureau Chief of the Violent & Organized Crime North Bureau.  Lieutenant Lubertazzi is considered an expert in Narcotics Trafficking and detection of sophisticated vehicle compartments and hidden traps.  He has provided training and instruction throughout the United States to various law enforcement academies and jurisdictions.  He holds a Masters Degree in Professional Education from Seton Hall University as well as a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Glassboro State College

Instructor Thomas "Tom" Fox
Chief Deputy Thomas "Tom" Fox is a highly decorated police officer who has over 36 years of law enforcement experience and community service.  He is a veteran of the United States Air Force, who served overseas as a security police officer from 1976-1980.  In 1981, he graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy and was employed as a patrolman with the Charleston, SC Police Department.  During his employment with, he was recognized for his ability to conduct undercover narcotic operations and infiltrate large scale criminal networks. His outstanding reputation and leadership qualities led to a position with the Horry County Police Department, where he served in the Narcotics Division as a DEA Task Force Officer and Special Operations Commander. While assigned to these duties he developed an extensive knowledge and expertise in interstate drug trafficking and financial money laundering investigations and received the DEA Award of Excellence in 1993. He possesses extensive knowledge and practical experience with training law enforcement personnel in crime reduction, intelligence led policing, critical incident & specialized emergency response. Chief Fox is a certified firearms, community policing, and basic law enforcement instructor through the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy.   In 1999, he transferred to become the Director of Detention at the Horry County Sheriff’s Office J. Reuben Long Detention Center, located in Conway, South Carolina.  As Director, he supervised more than 300 sworn law enforcement officers and civilian personnel and managed an annual budget of $24 million.  Chief Fox is considered to be an expert in Correctional Facility Administration and Management.  He has attended the United States Department of Justice National Institute of Corrections Training School and Jail Administrator Training School. In 2008, he was recognized for the prestigious Jail Administrator of the Year Award by the South Carolina Jail Administrators Association.   As Chief Deputy, Chief Fox is the Horry County Sheriff's Department Administrator of Operations, which includes special advisement to the 15th Judicial Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Community Violence Sub-committee for Horry County and is skilled in developing community/cooperate partnerships to address violent crime. Chief Fox possesses a proven history of successful partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, jurisdictions, and personnel throughout the United States and abroad. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Executive Leadership School (Session 249), and the South Carolina Executive Leadership Institute.  He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Anderson University in South Carolina, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice from Liberty University located in Virginia. Chief Fox currently serves as an Adjunct Instructor for McMurry University in Abilene, Texas, where he teaches on-line bachelor level criminal justice courses.
